NĀ AKUA ĀKEA FOR THE KUMULIPO

For the first time in more than 20 years, the Kumulipo, Hawaiʻi’s renowned cosmogonic genealogical chant, was performed in its entirety, all 2,102 lines, by five hālau in a historic cultural gathering at ʻIolani Palace.

The 2025 Kumulipo Showcase was held Sunday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the Palace grounds as part of Kamaʻāina Sunday.
